On a small street off Rechov Shmuel Hanavi in Yerushalayim, there lived greatness. Up until last winter, the rented two-bedroom apartment occupied by the Goldstien family was flooded with the joy and positive energy that their father generated. R’ Dovid Goldstien was a man who pulsed with physical and spiritual vibrancy.
Only 43 years old when he was taken from his family, the passing of the committed husband, father and dedicated Hatzolah volunteer left a gaping void in an entire community, which continues today.
Dovid was a man who made himself available to all who sought his counsel. It mattered not who they were, or when he was approached. He always related to others with his infectious smile and contagious happy demeanor.
Even during the short illness which ravaged his body with terrible pain and unbearable suffering, Dovid sustained his composure in a manner beyond belief. He braved his situation with a perseverance, acceptance and faith that could not be squashed by any force.
Dovid left behind his dear wife Tzippy and 14 children; the youngest are adorable twins who were only five months old when they became orphans, facing a new, sad reality and a frighteningly uncertain financial future.
A fund has been established to provide for his family’s needs. To donate or for more information, please visit https://www.youcaring.com/emergency-fundraiser/click-here-to-support-dovid-goldstien-s-family-/303993.
