Introducing ‘Skill’it Cutthroat’: The Ultimate Kosher Cooking Showdown

(Courtesy of Kosher.com) The culinary battle of the year has arrived, and it’s Kosher.com’s Skill’It Cutthroat! In this electrifying competition, four top-tier chefs go head-to-head, facing off in a series of intense challenges that push their culinary prowess to the limits. With comedian Elon Gold as the host, Skill’It Cutthroat promises a delightful blend of gourmet excellence and laugh-out-loud entertainment that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Following the phenomenal success of Season One’s Skill’It West Coast in 2019, Kosher.com has upped the ante with an explosive new season. Get ready for seven gripping episodes packed with high stakes and culinary brilliance. Each round presents the contestants with a fresh challenge, demanding the full spectrum of their kitchen skills to impress the esteemed panel of judges.

Filmed at Herzog Wine Cellars and the kosher restaurant Tierra Sur in Oxnard, Southern California, Skill’It Cutthroat boasts an all-star lineup of judges hailing from local kosher restaurants. With seasoned palates and a keen eye for exceptional talent, Chef Nir Weinblut of La Gondola, Chef Yos Schwartz of Marble and Grain, and Chef Chris Shertzer of Tierra Sur leave no dish unscrutinized.

The show’s contestants, recruited from the local community, bring their passion and determination to the show, vying for the title of Skill’It Cutthroat Champion.

“The first season of Skill’It was released in 2019 and was an immediate smash hit,” said David Whittemore, marketing and public relations director at Herzog Wine Cellars, “with more than 100,000 dedicated fans. Over the past four years, we’ve had countless requests for Season Two. We’re so excited to debut this new season of Skill’It with Kosher.com. It’s the same Skill’It our fans have come to adore, but with some major upgrades and innovative twists.”

“I don’t want to disclose too much,” Whittemore added, “but viewers are definitely in for a treat this summer with the new season. We named the season Skill’It Cutthroat to pay homage to the elevated nature of all the challenges.”

Skill’It Cutthroat, which debuted on June 29, 2023, will be released once a week for seven weeks (not including the week of Tisha B’av) with intense cliffhangers every week. From the sizzling tension to the mouthwatering dishes, this culinary spectacle promises to captivate audiences of all backgrounds. Viewers can expect an adrenaline-fueled race against the clock as these culinary maestros battle it out for the ultimate victory.

And that’s not all! Skill’It Cutthroat wouldn’t be complete without the support of its incredible sponsors. A private barrel of Herzog Wine and a whole cow’s worth of beef from Marble and Grain, one of the show’s generous sponsors, await the grand prize winner. In addition, Kosher Cook, Tuscanini, Gefen and Bartenura have joined forces to ensure this thrilling showdown surpasses all expectations.
