Israeli Strikes Target Iranian, Hezbollah Forces in Syria; Underground Hamas Site in Gaza

(JNS) Syrian state media reported that Israel had launched a rocket at a school in the country’s Quneitra Governorate, causing material damage but no casualties. According to the SANA news agency, the Israeli strike, which took place at 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday, targeted a school in al-Hurryia village in northern Quneitra.

According to a U.K.-based Syrian war monitor, the early morning attack targeted a school hosting Iranian forces and groups loyal to the Lebanese Shi’ite terror group Hezbollah.

The previous day, Israeli aircraft struck an underground site in the Gaza Strip belonging to Hamas, after terrorist groups fired a rocket into Israeli territory, the Israeli military said in a statement.

The rocket was intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome air-defense system, causing no damage or casualties.

“IDF fighter jets and a combat helicopter attacked underground infrastructure in the southern Gaza Strip belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization. The attack was carried out in response to a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory earlier this evening,” the statement said.
