Jack Lew to Speak at November 15 ‘Strictly Business’ Breakfast

(Courtesy of Jewish Vocational Service of MetroWest) The Honorable Jacob J. “Jack” Lew, 76th U.S. Secretary of the Treasury (2013-17), will be the special guest speaker at Strictly Business 2019 presented by Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) of MetroWest. The event will be held on Friday, November 15, from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Wilshire Grand Hotel, 350 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange NJ 07052. The topic of Secretary Lew’s talk will be “The Global Economy and Geopolitical Forces: A Look Ahead.”

As secretary of the treasury, Lew helped to shape policies that drove the longest economic recovery in American history. He also oversaw all aspects of international and domestic fiscal policy, including issues related to financial regulation, global sanctions regimes, tax policy, debt management and trade. Prior to serving as treasury secretary, Lew served as White House chief of staff from 2012-13 and director of the Office of Management and Budget from 2010-12 and 1998-2001. He is currently a partner at the private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg and is a professor of international and public affairs at Columbia University.
