Yom HaShoah v’HaGevura included a meaningful program for third to fifth graders. Fifth grade students embarked on a three month long research project learning about many of the brave righteous gentiles during the time of the Holocaust. After reading “Number the Stars” by Lois Lowry, students were put in groups to research and create a multi-faceted presentation featuring their rescuers. They will be sharing their work with their families on Wednesday at their Righteous Gentiles presentation. In preparation for this presentation and in honor of יום השואה, fifth graders presented one aspect of their work to their fellow students in third and fourth grade. Rabbi Beer and Morah Reich gave an introduction which included a קל מלא and communal תהלים.
