As the weather gets chillier and fall fades to winter, children arrive at school bundled up in warm coats. Some coats are furry, some are neon, some are puffy and some are shiny—and some children aren’t fortunate enough to have a coat. In recognition of the need that surrounds us, the JEC community came together to provide this essential to local families. Creatively organized by JEC parent Ilana Adams as a competition, families contributed coats in categories such as smallest, fanciest and warmest. Dozens of coats have been donated so far and will be distributed by Jewish Family Services of Central New Jersey.
