Holocaust survivors in the central New Jersey area enjoy socializing at Cafe Europa, a supportive social group that meets monthly. At the most recent Cafe Europa at Jewish Family Services of Central New Jersey, fourth grade boys from the JEC joined the gathering. The boys sang a selection of traditional seasonal Jewish music, and chatted with the survivors after their performance. The survivors enjoyed listening and talking to this vibrant group of Jewish children. This beautiful chesed opportunity connected the generations in a meaningful way.
