JEC High School NTHS Members Lead the Way

JEC’s National Technical Honor Society members are leading the technology department with a variety of new initiatives. This week NTHS member junior Zack Ovits and his father, Mordy Ovits, held a cyber security session for JEC students. The boys assembled a local area network and began to learn the basic components of cyber security. The end goal is to allow students to design secure networks and identify weak areas within them. NTHS students, seniors Yishai Mandel and JJ Rosenblum are presenting an in-depth 3D printing course for JEC seventh and eighth graders. This course will run on Mondays after school and will introduce them to skills in design, slicing and printing. Junior Aryeh Sheinson is hosting a computer building session after school. He will demonstrate how to complete and actual build, as well as selecting components to ensure it meets the needs of the user.
