JEC JV Hockey Completes Comeback vs. Ramaz for First Win of Season

JEC went down 2-0, four minutes into the game and had to climb their way back the rest of the time. At the start of the second period, Ben Stern, sophomore, netted one goal to start up the comeback giving JEC massive momentum but then went scoreless the rest of the period. JEC started the third period with 14 seconds left on a power play and Tani Rosenfeld netted one to tie the game up at 2-2. Moments later Ramaz comes back with one of their own to take the lead right back at 3-2. With five minutes left in the third, Rosenfeld scored his second of the night tying the game once again at 3-3. The rest of the third was scoreless before the game headed into overtime. With 2:50 left in three on three overtime, sophomore Elan Besterman put in a beautiful one timer from the point to give JEC their first win of the season, putting them at 1-1. JEC will look to make some noise this year with the talent of Rosenfeld, Besterman, Dovid Fonfeder and all their sophomores that went through a tough 0-10 season the previous year.
