The JEC Lower and Middle School teachers collaborated in their learning as part of their professional development day. The day began by reaffirming values and rediscovering the WHY of their dedication to educating the future of Am Yisrael. The values generated are now hanging in the hallway as a mural reminding teachers of the original vision and charge of Rav Pinchas Mordechai Teitz, tz”l, “Learn Torah, Love Torah, Live Torah.” Teachers had the opportunities to learn from experts and colleagues, including from Learning Lab specialists, teacher leaders and administrators. It was a day where the teachers were the learners, learning game based learning, mindfulness, motivation, project based learning, sensory challenges in the classroom and social emotional learning led by Erica Lander Miller. The impact of the day was felt immediately throughout the classrooms the very next day. This inspiration will carry JEC to the end of the year.
