In anticipation of the upcoming election day, the JEC Middle School held its own student government elections. Candidates submitted platforms stating their goals and qualifications for their desired position. Each candidate gave a campaign speech attempting to persuade their fellow students to vote for them. Afterwards, a secret ballot was held and winners were chosen in some extremely close races.
