Jewish Center of Teaneck Holds Annual Dinner

Please join the Jewish Center of Teaneck for its annual dinner honoring Sigi Laster, guest of honor, and Avi and Ginnine Fried, distinguished community service award recipients, on Monday evening, June 25, at 6:30 p.m.

The 2018 honorees are individuals who form the backbone of the community. The guest of honor is Sigi Laster, who serves on the board and ritual committee. He is the glue of the daily minyanim, which reflects his extraordinary devotion to the shul.

The recipients of the distinguished community service award will be Avi and Ginnine Fried. In revitalizing the Sisterhood as well as the Men’s Club, in their joint service to the kiddush committee and in all aspects of youth programming, Avi and Ginnine have made the shul’s programming among the finest that any synagogue in Teaneck has to offer. Ginnine and Avi also devote their time and energy to run the Teaneck Baby Gemach. The Teaneck Baby Gemach is an organization that assists Jewish families in Bergen County by distributing free baby equipment and clothing for babies through toddlers and fundraising to purchase formula and diapers for families that are in need of financial help.

The Jewish Center of Teaneck is also celebrating the 70th anniversary of Medinat Yisrael. The dinner schedule is: Mincha at 6:15 p.m., cocktail hour from 6:30-7:30 p.m., program from 7:30-8:15 p.m., dinner from 8:15-9:30 p.m., Maariv at 9:30 p.m.
