Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ to Host Holocaust Survivor Benefits Workshop

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is hosting two sessions of the Holocaust Survivor Benefits Workshop designed to inform survivors of the reparations and benefits to which they are entitled. The sessions will be held on Wednesday, September 11, and Wednesday, September 18, both from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Aidekman Jewish Community Campus at 901 Rte. 10 in Whippany. The session on September 18 will include a Russian translator.

This program is presented as part of Federation’s work pursuant to a Critical Supports Grant from the Jewish Federations of North America’s Center for Advancing Holocaust Survivor Care, of which our Federation is one of only six recipients.

Presenters at the workshop will include service providers from JFS MetroWest and JFS Central NJ, as well as NJ-based attorney William R. Marks, Esq., a nationally recognized expert in Holocaust compensation claims.

“The goal of the workshops is to help survivors understand and access the financial support to which they may be entitled,” said Marian Marlowe, coordinator of Greater MetroWest CARES, the Federation department that is managing the grant funds. “Our goal with the grant funding as a whole is to provide specific services previously not available but needed by the survivors in our community.”

To find out more or register for the workshop, as well as to see the information written in Russian, visit www.jfedgmw.org/benefits or contact Debbie Rosen at [email protected] or (973) 929-2993.
