Jewish Home Family President and CEO Carol Silver Elliott has been selected unanimously by the National LeadingAge board of directors as their incoming chair-elect and next board chairperson.
LeadingAge is a national organization that brings together more than 6,000 nonprofit elder care member organizations and partners representing the entire field of aging services. The organization has 39 state associations, hundreds of businesses, consumer groups, foundations and research centers. LeadingAge is also a part of the Global Ageing Network, whose membership spans 30 countries.
“This is a tremendous and well-deserved honor for Carol that she has earned through dedication to Jewish values and her deep commitment to serve elders,” said Dan Reingold, chair of the Association of Jewish Aging Services. “Carol is a true leader and visionary with a career of success and achievement. She perfectly embodies the best of nonprofit faith-based care. Carol truly represents the winning combination of high, yet realistic, personal and professional standards that has marked her as an outstanding leader and innovator in our profession.”
Since 2014, Silver Elliott has been president and CEO of The Jewish Home Family, the parent organization the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Jewish Home Assisted Living, Jewish Home Foundation and Jewish Home at Home. Previously, she served as president and CEO of Cedar Village Retirement Community in Cincinnati, Ohio. Silver Elliott served as chair of the Association of Jewish Aging Services from 2013 to 2015. She is also a member of the boards of Leading Age New Jersey and the Visiting Nurse Association.
