(Courtesy of JFS MetroWest) As the world celebrates Chanukah, Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ (JFS) is proud to provide services to address the ongoing mental health needs of the community as well as those that have arisen due to the war in Israel. Recently, JFS provided professional training for clinicians on attachment-based family therapy and celebrated the graduation of the current class of Rachel Coalition’s 40-hour volunteer training participants.
JFS’s Maxine Myers Volunteer Services kicked off the season of giving with Thanksgiving meal deliveries to 155+ homebound older adults and Holocaust survivors. An additional 153 deliveries were made for Chanukah, including a brisket dinner, sides, dessert, challah, jelly donuts, candles, a dreidel, and gelt. At Café Europa, the socialization program for Holocaust survivors, JFS will host a special Chanukah celebration.
To participate in JFS holiday happenings, send a JFS ecard or order Krispy Kreme doughnuts. JFS Chanukah and holiday ecards are available to send to friends, family, colleagues or teachers via www.jfsmetrowest.org/ecards.
