JFS of Central NJ Sponsors ‘Overcoming Anger’ Workshop for Adolescents

Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, a non-sectarian health and social service agency, will be hosting an eight-week therapeutic and educational group geared toward fostering appropriate management of anger and frustration for adolescents. The group will begin on Tuesday evening, May 9, at the JFSCNJ main office in Elizabeth, located at 655 Westfield Avenue, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Subsequent dates will be May 16, 23 and 30, and June 6, 13, 20 and 27.

The group is based on an evidence-based treatment, moral reconation therapy, and has been proven effective in various settings. The group is open to any adolescent in need of support managing their anger. The cost is $360 (Medicaid accepted) and includes intake, workbook and eight group sessions.
