Maria Mullen, R.N., Jewish Family Service of Central NJ (JFSCNJ) director of nursing has announced that a four week training program for certified home health aides will begin on Monday, March 2. According to Mullen, “The course will put you on the path to a new career as a certified home health aide, a field that is rapidly growing and in high demand.” The program will end Thursday, March 26.
The JFSCNJ Certified Home Health Aide Training Program will take place in our state-of-the-art training lab at the JFS Halpern Building, 655 Westfield Avenue in Elizabeth. Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., for four weeks, with a half hour lunch break. The course meets all of the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing. The fee for the class is $75 for books and materials. Ample on-site parking is available.
The JFSCNJ Certified Home Health Aide Training Program is generously funded by the Fred C. Rummel Foundation and the 21st Century ILGWU Heritage Fund, and Jewish Family Service of Central NJ.
