Thirty-six JKHA and RKYHS students, faculty members, alumni and parents took part in a pre-Pesach hair donation drive organized by the RKYHS HairDrive Committee. All of the participants donated a minimum of eight inches of their hair to Children with Hair loss, an organization whose mission is to provide human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults facing cancer and other medically-related hair loss. A total of over 300 inches were donated! JKHA/RKYHS was thrilled to be able to support these young individuals as a community. It takes approximately eight to 12 ponytails to make a single real-hair wig, so every donation will have a significant impact on the number of free wigs that will become available. Every person who donated performed one of the greatest forms of chesed, giving a part of themselves to someone else. Yashar koach to all those who donated and to the RKYHS hair drive committee.
