Congratulations to the middle school Debate Team on winning first place school once again in their debate. JKHA traveled to Yeshivat Noam where they debated against the host school Noam, as well as Moriah and Yeshiva of Flatbush. Four pairs of students from the JKHA Debate Team debated pro and con for the resolution—All Americans should be required to show government issued picture identification before voting. The teams were invested in their research and worked collaboratively to write speeches and practice debating with one another, offering each other respectful constructive criticism. In addition to JKHA placing as First Place School in the debate, JKHA students took home First and Third Place Individual Speaker awards and First and Second Place Team awards. Additional members of the team joined as spectators which will help for future debates.
