JKHA celebrated the impressive accomplishments of its eighth grade students at the annual awards ceremony. Beautiful words of Torah and inspiration were shared by Rabbi Greenberg, followed by remarks from Jacob Colchamiro and Hannah Mamet. Jacob spoke about the importance and complexity of our choices and Hannah spoke movingly about the importance of friendship and the unique way that the eighth grade class cohered together. As Rabbi Greenberg suggested, in the spirit of Aaron, we share and celebrate the accomplishments of each of the members of the JKHA advancing class of 2017.

The ceremony was followed by a beautiful breakfast during which the students received their yearbooks. Seeing the enthusiasm and happiness of the students as they perused their yearbooks crystallized the fantastic eighth grade year they had, filled with growth and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

JKHA continued to celebrate the students’ success the following evening at their advancement. RKYHS is looking forward to welcoming close to ninety percent of the JKHA eighth grade next fall to the class of 2021.
