JKHA had their annual summer reading kickoff at Barnes & Noble last Thursday evening. The students were able to pick up their summer reading books and socialize with school faculty and friends. The number of students, parents and faculty in attendance was spectacular. The students enjoyed activities including book bingo, hangman, Simon Says, crafts, stories and more while the parents shopped for summer reading books. A percentage of the proceeds of each purchase will benefit the school library. The students are now looking forward to reading a good book over their summer vacation.
