The JKHA middle school was excited to launch an anti-lashon hara campaign on Rosh Chodesh Iyar, entitled “What’s Your Hour?” Students and faculty signed up for one hour a day in which they will be careful to avoid any lashon hara. They created posters that are hanging around the JKHA middle school to remind everyone to make an effort to think before they speak. In addition they are beginning to learn a lesson a day about the halachot of lashon hara in their classes. The program will continue throughout sefirat haomer. This campaign will help all of JKHA be more sensitive to the way that they speak to, and about, one another.
