The JKHA Middle School Civic Spirit Club meets weekly to discuss ways to be civically engaged. In past meetings they took the US citizens exam, testing their knowledge. The club is putting together their own version of the test together to challenge middle schoolers’ civic knowledge. The students in the club finalized their survey to analyze the knowledge of the middle school student body on national, local and middle school issues. Students also explored the methods and purposes of polling. The students are so engaged and enthusiastic and can’t wait to distribute the Google form survey next week and work on the analysis after break. The group also received some swag from the Civic Spirit organization and were excited to distribute it at last week’s meeting.
