JKHA Middle School Students Explore the Concept of Hakarat Hatov

JKHA middle school took a look at the concept of hakarat hatov and then brought it to life. Their Judaic Studies classes went over examples in Tanach that teach us to thank someone who has done something for us and appreciate how they helped us. The class then discussed people in their lives that they appreciate and talked about different ways that they can show their appreciation for them.

Middle school students then took a moment to share hakarat hatov to their teachers. They each made a video thanking a specific teacher and all of the videos were compiled together into one. After viewing the video together with their teacher in their classes this morning, students lined the hallways to “clap it up” and thanked their teachers as they walked by and handed them a thank you gift. Students also wrote thank-you cards, thanking someone in their lives for whom they are grateful and who helps and supports them.
