Throughout the year there are opportunities for the JKHA students to get involved in their peers’ learning. Within lower school, the uniquely designed Learning Buddies program allows second, third and fourth graders to read books to their younger learner “buddies.” First and fourth graders met recently with their reading buddies. They wrote and illustrated the characters and setting, and the pairs of buddies identified the problem in the story and worked on the solution to the story.
