“Creating a Caring Community Together” will be hosted by the Greater MetroWest Jewish Federation’s Joint Chaplaincy Committee at the Jewish Federation of MetroWest on Wednesday, November 15, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Topics will include “Why we do what we do and how,” and workshops throughout the day will cover understanding dementia, making a community inclusive, traditional text study, self-awareness and more. The featured speaker will be Dr. Debra Greenberg, CSW, MSW, Ph.D, an instructor in medicine in the division of geriatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center.
“Creating a Caring Community Together” will provide supportive services, ongoing education, training and resources for visitation committee members (bikur cholim) and healthcare professionals.
