Joint Chaplaincy Committee to Host ‘Creating a Caring Community’ Event

The Joint Chaplaincy Committee will present its sixth Creating a Caring Community event on Thursday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aidekman Jewish Community Campus located at 901 Route 10 in Whippany. The event is open to healthcare professionals as well as community members involved in bikur cholim/caring/mitzvah/chesed committees in their communities.

The subject of this year’s program is “Conversations: Learning to Listen,” and the event will include presentations including listening while creating an inclusive community, capturing life stories, text study, a guide to planning positive visits and case studies.

All presentations will be led and moderated by healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, chaplains and social workers. CEU credits are available.
