(Courtesy of Kaplen JCC) Everyone benefits from regular exercise, but as we get older there is no better way to stay fit, agile and healthy than to incorporate exercise into our daily routines. The JCC offers something special every weekday morning in a relaxed environment where seniors can socialize, make friends and work out all at the same time. And best of all, classes are free!
Sit & Be Fit
This class offers a total body workout regardless of fitness level. It is designed to increase cardio fitness, enhance muscular strength and flexibility and improve joint stability, balance, coordination and agility.

Qi Gong (Life Energy Cultivation)
This ancient Chinese practice looks to align breath, movement and awareness during exercise to promote healing and meditation.
Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Fit for Life
Using hand-held weights, resistance bands and exercise balls, this light cardio program increases balance and coordination and improves muscular strength and flexibility. Good for all fitness levels.
Wednesdays, 10-10:45 a.m.
Easy Exercise
This class uses light weights and rubber exercise bands to strengthen muscles.
Thursdays, 10:15-11:15 a.m.
Balance & Agility
This class is designed to strengthen your muscles and to increase balance and stability. As we age, balance often becomes a concern and studies have shown that exercises like those taught in this class can reduce not only the odds of falling but the odds of sustaining fall-related injuries.
Fridays, 10:15-11 a.m.
All classes are appropriate for any fitness level with no registration required. For more information, please contact Marlene Ceragno at 201-569-7900, ext. 439 or [email protected].
