There was a palpable excitement and energy that filled the hallways of RKYHS as the students participated in the Kushner Cup. Competing in two teams, students were involved in a variety of skills, challenges and competitions as they vie to be crowned the victor of Kushner Cup. Throughout the day and a half, the teams were involved in activities that included The Great RAE-ce apache relay, volleyball, geography bee, gaga, chess tournaments, blacklight dodgeball, Torah challenge, basketball, a Post-it artwork challenge and so much more. Both teams displayed good sportsmanship and teamwork as they competed for the cup.

The competition culminated as the whole school came together for the grand finale where artistic and creative talents were displayed. Each team presented their clever team lip sync dance, stunning banner creations, humorous and skillfully created team videos, faculty portraits and more.

Kushner Cup is a celebration of RKYHS school culture, and gives students an opportunity to take initiative and allows each student to exercise their skills, talents and passions as they contribute to their team’s competitions. It is a wonderful bonding experience for students that instills camaraderie and ruach throughout the building.
