Kushner Faculty Win Honorable Mention in Prestigious National Kohelet Prize

Congratulations to JKHA middle school faculty members Sri Sundaram and Ariella Landy for receiving Honorable Mention from the Kohelet Foundation in the prestigious national Kohelet Prize for Progressive Education competition. The pair won out of thousands of submissions in the “Development of Critical and/or Creative Thinking” category for an interdisciplinary project conducted in their Language Arts and STEM classes.

Their submission, entitled Mishkeh Mechanic/Success Strategist, covered how eighth grade students completed a project in STEM class, documenting throughout using the SeeSaw app’s video and picture abilities and crafted a nonfiction “narrative” in Language Arts class, where they followed the teshuva process to realize, and thus capitalize upon, their mistakes.
