Kushner’s annual summer reading kickoff was held at the Livingston Barnes & Noble last Thursday evening. Rabbi Rubin started off the event by reading a book about friendship, followed by other beloved lower school teachers leading a variety of activities. The number of students, parents and faculty participating was spectacular. Students enjoyed activities such as Bananagrams, book bingo, tattoos, a scavenger hunt and “crafts and stories,” while their parents shopped for summer reading books. Each purchase profited the school library.
