(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) On Lag B’Omer over 200 children with their parents came to celebrate the day on the lawn of the shul. The children were greatly entertained. A petting zoo arrived with pony rides. The fire trucks gave tours to the eager children. There was a soccer dart game as well as ax throwing. The bonfire was lit as is the longstanding tradition of Lag B’Omer and the marshmallow roasting was a real hit! Reb Shimon Bar Yochai’s yahrzeit is commemorated on Lag B’Omer. He requested that this day be celebrated with lots of happiness and joy. The evening concluded with lively music and dancing of children and their fathers. What a joyous and momentous evening it was!
