Lamdeinu’s New Semester Begins June 9

(Courtesy of Lamdeinu) Join Lamdeinu on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in June for a month of inspiring learning!

Lamdeinu’s schedule kicks off on Thursday, June 9 at 11 a.m. with Rabbi Gedalyah Berger, who will explore “How and Why We Mourn: Hilchot Aveilut.” At 12:30 p.m., Rabbi Daniel Fridman will follow with his signature “Parsha & Haftarah Pointers.” Both classes are open to men and women.

On Mondays from 10:15 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Dean Rachel Friedman will offer her popular chavruta/shiur class on the topic of “Parshanut HaMikra on Sefer Bereishit: The Next Generation.” This class is open to women only and offers a safe and exciting space for interactive Torah study.

On Tuesdays from 9:15 -11:00 a.m, Rabbi Gedalyah Berger will discuss “Talmud Basar B’ Chalav: Masechet Chulin Perek 8.” This shiur is open to both men and women and offers an in-depth analysis of this important area of kashrut.

Beginning on June 15, Lamdeinu will offer a new three-part series on Wednesdays with Ms. Channa Lockshin Bob entitled “Talmudic Tales of Faith and Doubt.” This series will examine the different models the Talmud offers for living a life of faith. Each class will analyze stories from the Talmud about rabbis and other individuals who embodied ideals of faith, as well as those who expressed doubt and questioning. The series is open to men and women.

All classes will be held via Zoom in June. Be on the lookout for our upcoming July schedule which will offer both in person and zoom options.
