Largest Women’s Gathering in Livingston to Focus on Inspiring Goodness

Livingston—Hundreds of people are expected to turn out on Monday, June 1, at the Westminster Hotel for what is believed to be the largest annual gathering for women in Livingston. The evening will feature great food and wine, awesome raffle prizes and inspiring real-life stories.

More than 800 women attended last year’s program, and organizers are promising that this year’s event will be even bigger and better. They note that every participant will receive a swag bag filled with spa items.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be Adam Braun, the creator of the nonprofit Pencils of Promise, who is also a bestselling author and one of Forbes magazine’s 30 Under 30. Braun, who will speak on “Living Life With Purpose,” was pursuing a career in finance when an encounter with a young boy in India led him to question the value of his career and what he wanted out of life. Soon after, he rededicated his life to helping others in need by establishing Pencils of Promise, which has helped build some 300 schools in impoverished areas around the world.

Previous speakers at the annual Mikvah Chana fundraiser have included media star Paula Abdul, “Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik and Olympic gold medalist, gymnast Aly Raisman. Mikvah Chana in Livingston serves as a spiritual oasis for hundreds of women from throughout Northern New Jersey. The mikvah is dedicated in loving memory of Chana Annette Felsen, who passed away six years ago at the age of 99.

Among the items being raffled off at this year’s event are an 18-karat gold and aquamarine necklace from Marcos Bicego Lunaria, a 14-night stay at the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem, 18-karat rose gold rock crystal earrings with rock crystal drops from the Ivanka Trump Collection, a Tory Burch leather handbag and tickets to the new “Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Other prizes include tickets to sporting events, golf packages, free photography sessions, toys, household items, free professional services and much more.

This not-to-be-missed event will be held at the Hotel Westminster, 550 West Mount Pleasant Ave., in Livingston, starting at 7 p.m. For more information or to register, call 973-994-0200 or visit MikvahChana.org.
