Linden’s Cong. Anshe Chesed Youth Department Brings in the New Year

(Courtesy of Congregation Anshe Chesed) Linden’s Congregation Anshe Chesed’s Youth Department is bringing in the new year 5780 with programming that supports the local and wider communities! For Rosh Hashanah it is holding a book drive to support Hindi’s Libraries, which collects new and gently used children’s books and distributes them to over 300 organizations throughout the United States. The program was started to remember Dr. Hindi Krinsky, an educator who tragically died at age 32. One of Anshe Chesed’s Youth Committee members was a close friend of hers and spearheaded the opportunity for the shul’s children to support this important cause.

Anshe Chesed’s youth programming continues with Sukkot. Sukkah decorating is on Sunday, October 6, at 2:30 p.m. The annual sukkah hop begins on Shabbat, October 19, at 3:30 p.m.

Thanks to the support of Rabbi Josh Hess, the annual “children’s fourth hakafah” with extended singing and dancing will happen Simchat Torah night, and the incredibly powerful and moving family Kol Hane’arim aliyah will be on Simchat Torah day following the annual soup kiddush.
