Preschool children at Lubavitch on the Palisades enjoyed the book “Shabbat Box,” by Lesley Simpson, as an introduction to the school’s Shabbat Box program. Each week a student will take home a Shabbat Box to share with his or her family. Each Shabbat Box includes a kiddush cup, grape juice, candles, Shabbat kippah, special necklace, a book and a special journal in which children can write or draw their favorite part of Shabbat.
