LPS preschool students prepared for Thanksgiving by learning about the Native Americans and the Pilgrims who participated in the first Thanksgiving feast, and cooked delicious foods to enjoy for their own special feast. The students dyed white T shirts using an ancient technique formulated by Native Americans to boil fruits and vegetables and tea essence as the dye. The children also made T shirts to wear for their Thanksgiving feasts to resemble the Native American clothing that was made of animal skins as well as headdresses and Pilgrim hats.
