Over the last several weeks, the 12th grade students have been learning taharat hamishpacha in their Halacha classes. They learned the halachot in depth from the Torah sources through contemporary poskim, enriching the students’ understanding of both the what and the why of halachic practice. As the culmination of this unit on taharat hamishpacha, the 12th graders had an inspiring tour of the local Teaneck mikvah, followed by a Q&A panel with Ma’ayanot teachers who work as yoatzot halacha and kallah teachers, Mrs. Weil, Mrs. Dawidowicz and Mrs. Taubes. The panel facilitated a lively discussion and offered students the opportunity to ask questions about what they learned on the mikvah tour as well as what they learned in class.
