Ma’ayanot sophomores delved into chesed last Thursday with trips to the Ohel Day Hab Center in Brooklyn, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Daughters of Miriam and the Kaplen JCC Adult Reach Center. Rabbi Michael Hoenig, mashgiach ruchani at TABC, spoke to the students about “Performing Acts of Chesed with Heart and Soul.” The chesed trips were a preamble to the annual sophomore shabbaton, a ruach and Torah-filled weekend held in Edison.
