(Ma’ayanot Sports) On Wednesday, January 31, and Thursday February 1, the Ma’ayanot Rapids varsity volleyball and basketball teams had their final home game of the season. Seniors were honored by their teammates, coaches, faculty, parents and friends. The festivities started in the morning when seniors came into school to find their lockers decorated by the underclassmen with signs, pictures and balloons. Before game time, the ceremony began with a video of teachers and team alumnae wishing them well, followed by introductions from their coaches and presentations of flowers and a framed team picture for each senior. Congrats to volleyball team seniors: Tamar Stein, Racheli Miller, Tiferet Teitelman, Tziporah Bargad, Hannah Milner and captains Reeva Belgrade and Talia Wallach. Congrats to basketball team seniors: Miri Hochberg, Sara Mirwis, Sigal Ostrin and captains Ayelet Eizikovitz, Shifra Prager and Ayelet Ostrin. Coach Chayim and Coach Dahlia are very proud of their volleyball teams and can’t wait to get ready for the playoffs! Coach Evan and Coach CC are very proud of their team and look forward to further success in the playoffs. Go Rapids!
