Ma’ayanot’s faculty and students had the tremendous privilege to hear words of chizuk from Shira Perez, daughter of Rabbi Doron Perez, chairman of the World Mizrachi Movement. Shira spoke about her brothers who fought in the war on October 7. One of Shira’s brothers was shot and wounded fighting against terrorists, but Baruch Hashem he was able to get married a couple of weeks later. Shira’s second brother, Daniel, is included amongst the hostages still missing. The Ma’ayanot community thanks Shira for inspiring them with her positivity and strength during these most difficult times for her family and Am Yisrael, and continue to daven for the safe return of her brother and all the hostages.
