Ma’ayanot hosted and celebrated their first Yom Beit Midrash, where each student got to spend real, meaningful time learning in the beautiful beit midrash. All of the limudei kodesh classes met in the beit midrash, and the room was filled with the beautiful sounds of talmud Torah.
In addition to experiencing the energy and kol Torah of a full, noisy and vibrant makom Torah, students were invited to enter the broader world of the beit midrash; choosing to use some of their leisure time to engage in talmud Torah lishma—learning that goes beyond what you need to do for your classes. The learning of the day was dedicated to all the chayalim who are serving in Ertez Yisrael and to the quick and safe return of all the hostages.
The day kicked off with a special breakfast celebrating with Ma’ayanot students who finished the entire Seder Moed Mishnayot, after learning two Mishnayot a day, every day since last November. The siyum was so meaningful and inspired many other students to start learning Seder Nashim with Masechet Yevamot. Seniors Ayala Katz and Aliza Mermelstein exclaimed, “We’ve never seen the beit midrash filled with so many people, all learning Torah. It was truly inspiring and we want to take advantage of our beautiful beit midrash to learn more in the future!”
Mazal tov to students Aviva Kurz, Tari Bieler, Emily Billauer, Naama Prager and Noa Chen who made the siyum on the completion of learning the entire Seder Moed Mishnayot!
