Ma’ayanot’s recently enhanced and expanded Health Science Elective Track has embarked on an engaging journey. The ninth grade class, “Pathways to Health Sciences,” has successfully concluded their initial mini-unit on neuroscience, which included a hands-on dissection of sheep brains. Their upcoming unit on epidemiology holds promise for further exploration. The 10th-grade Human Anatomy and Physiology class has concluded their comprehensive study of the digestive system. Meanwhile, the 11th-grade Science Research class has been honing their laboratory skills through a series of methodical experiments, accompanied by an understanding of statistical techniques for data analysis.

The students are eagerly anticipating the practical application of their knowledge beyond the classroom, including the unique opportunity to witness a live kidney transplant surgery through video conferencing. Collectively, students are excited to bridge theory and practice through immersive, real-world experiences that will enrich their understanding of the Health Sciences field.
