In preparation for Rosh Hashanah, MDS fifth graders had the unique opportunity to examine different types of shofarot in class: Shofars from different types of rams, a goat and a kudu. Students analyzed the different textures, shapes and sounds they made. Students also analyzed the sounds and Zvi E. noticed that the sounds felt like different types of crying. The students even had a “longest shofar blast” competition to see which shofar was most comfortable to blow. Congrats to Adam K. for winning and Zach R. for his runner-up finish!
