How does an author get ideas for books? Do research? Find pictures to illustrate the words? How does it feel to be a famous author? Ben Porat Yosef’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders asked all of these questions, and more, of acclaimed children’s author, Meish Goldish, who has written over 400 books for children.

This BPY “event” worked beautifully to complement the students’ study of non-fiction works, a topic they are learning about. Mr. Goldish, a master storyteller, came to visit and to speak with the students and brought an author’s work “to life” in an interesting way.
