As I prepared to bring Torah and (other) essentials to El Salvador, I read your article featuring Parkview Pharmacy (“Teaneck’s Parkview Pharmacy: New Owner, New Look,” January 20, 2022) and reached out to the new owner, Paris Pournazari, who graciously supplied a significant part of the over 100 lb. of medical supplies that I brought with me. Additionally, thanks to my fellow Jewish Link readers, I was able to bring several mezuzot to San Salvador’s only Orthodox shul. They recently moved location and still need another 12 (including for the rooms that many sleep in each Shabbat). And—in the absence of Torah/Hebrew teachers in the country—a couple of (new or used) Chromebooks would transform the ability of kehilla members to learn Hebrew/Torah online.
