Moriah First Graders Get Acclimated

In the short period of time since school has opened the amazing Moriah first graders have had a smooth transition into first grade. They are learning classroom routines and are becoming responsible for their own supplies and belongings. They have been learning about Rosh Hashanah in our new books, Powerpoint presentations, smart board games and by singing songs in Hebrew about Rosh Hashanah.

The children were very excited when “Ariot” the lion came in to introduce the Tal Am reading program to the class. It is amazing to see how the children, after such a short time, are able to understand and follow the Hebrew directions in our Hebrew immersion program. In addition, they are becoming accustomed to the rotation model, in which they are taught in small groups either with teachers guiding them or by working independently.

Moriah looks forward to a wonderful year of growth. Gmar chatima tova.
