Moriah Holds 18th Annual Summer Outing

(Courtesy of Moriah) On Monday, August 9, Moriah held its 18th Annual Summer Outing at Alpine Country Club in Demarest. Over 125 Moriah parents, grandparents and friends came out to enjoy a day of golf, tennis and women’s wellness activities. With delicious food by Esprit Events and beautiful weather a good time was had by all.

An exciting addition to this year’s outing was the Women’s Wellness program. The day started with an intense workout with The Barre Method. Afterwards the women enjoyed poolside manicures and massages with a delicious lunch spread. After lunch, Moriah’s very own Rachel Schwartz (middle school English department head) joined for a Moriah Book Club kickoff event, where she revealed the next Moriah Book Club book. A few attendees stuck around for a leisurely game of mah-jongg.

The day ended with a delicious cocktail hour where attendees had the chance to unwind and schmooze together.

“The Summer Outing is a great tradition of Moriah’s and it’s incredible to see year in and year out our community come together to celebrate our school and its mission,” said Moriah President Steven Bleier. “We are not afraid to step up to a challenge—and we certainly proved that once again pulling off this successful event.”

A special thank you to the event co-chairs: Leah and Jacob Almo, Tamara and Donny Goldin, Michaela and Jonathan Lehr, Dori and Eric Mirvis, Eeta and Jason Pinewski and Marisa and Moses Sternstein.

Congratulations to the winning foursome of the golf tournament: Dave Brickman, Jon Brickman, Nick Godfrey and Peter Friedman.

Moriah would like to thank all of our family and corporate sponsors for their support and generosity, critical to the success of the school. The funds raised from The Moriah Outing support Moriah’s scholarship fund, which is essential to the school’s goal of not allowing financial hurdles to get in the way of a Moriah education. A special thank you to the gold-level sponsors: Net@Work, Meridian Capital, The Feldman family, Elizabeth and Michael Pinewski, Lisa and Jonathan Schechter and Avra and Moshe Schreiber.
