Moriah Hosts a Sephardic Rosh Hashanah Seder

There wasn’t much class time before Rosh Hashanah, but Moriah early childhood and lower school found time to enjoy a Rosh Hashanah Seder, Sephardic style! The students learned the Hebrew and English names of each siman—symbolic food and its meaning: apple (dipped in honey and sugar), dates, pomegranate, Swiss chard, squash, black-eyed peas, leek and a (candy) fish head. Tizku l’shanim rabot!
