Moriah Lower School Has Color War

Lag B’Omer in the Moriah lower school was filled with so much fun and excitement, it’s difficult to believe that everything fit into just one day. The feeling of anticipation was palpable as the building filled with students dressed in hats, shirts, jewelry and wigs corresponding to their team colors. After an enthusiastic tefillah, students were literally “off and running.” From relay races to team presentation preparation to teacher basketball games and even a special barbecue lunch, it seemed like the students barely had time to take a break from all of the fun. The day culminated in a gathering of the entire lower school where each team presented their thematic banners, dances and songs, concluding with a video montage of the day’s events. The ruach that permeated the room in those final moments of singing and dancing made it seem much more like one big rainbow of colors rather than a color war.
